Money + good coaches make it a great team!
How did the men's team do at Nationals? This year?
Everything sucks in Kansas!
Hmmmmm.......It is so clear now!
Johnson County's staff does!

Any word on where Rodney is located now?
Johnson County used to be a great track school. Then they went and screwed everything up by getting rid of Mark Phillips, he was a good coach.
Donnelly.
I don't even think they have a program.
How good is Neosho County?

Yes JCCC lost out on Mark Phillips.....he is a good coach!!
He is at another JUCO in Kansas......Cowley County in Arkansas City, KS
Most of the JUCO programs in Kansas are quality programs.....some just don't have the $$$$$$ the others do!!!
I competed for Colby Community College in the northwest part of the state, and they have a great Coach in Jeff Becker. He's already got that program a top 5 in the conference in a matter of his 3 years there. He's already committed to at least 2 more years there with incoming recruits, and before anyone knows it, they are gonna be a consistent top 3 in that region which in almost all sports is the toughest region in the nation. Programs that suck, are Allen County, Neosho, Fort Scott, Independence, Cloud is mediocre as is Hutchison, some of them that are decent but not gonna go many places are Cowley, Johnson, Garden City (new coach has a lot to do) Pratt (same as Garden), Barton and Butler County are probably the two top programs as of now, but Barton can't recruit out of state for sometime because of MAJOR rules violations by their basketball team so don't expect them to do anything in the next few years and rebounding is going to be hard for them. Butler well they are pretty level right now, they get a crop of decent runners each year but can't bring it together at the right time. But in track no one will be their sprint core, with Ivory Williams and Willie McCaskill and Willie Hordge. Plus with their outstanding distance program, they are going to score lots of points. Um, thats about it any of the other schools in that region aren't really worth mentioning, Coffeyville has a good mid-distance guy from Oklahoma but thats it, and Highland in the far northeast is just a level program with a good coach. I'm obviously biased to Colby b/c its my alma mater, but I also know what is gonna happen in the next few years there and if people will realize that, then they will be on one of the best cross teams, and soon to be track teams in that region.
Being a Johnson county guy it is the best of all the Kansas JUCO's and here is why. Overland Park KS offers tons of stuff to do unlike all the other city's the Kansas JUCO's are in. They have a wonderful indoor facility and and great outdoor track and cross country trails on campus. I'd go to JCCC if you are looking for a good JC. Not to mention their degrees carry more weight than the average JUCO degree.

Degrees carry more weight?????? I don't know about that. It is a good school though.
i'm a douche
what does nova scotia (your link) have to do with Kansas?
I think what trackdork is trying to say is that if you go to Johnson County you'll have more success getting your hours accepted at a four year college than you will at the other JUCOs in Kansas. Academically it is the best of the Kansas JUCOs.
Thank you Jayhawk.
