My workout today was this.
0.5 mile jog wam up
Interval: 600m @ 6:20/mile speed
Recovery: 400m @ 10:00/mile speed
REPEAT x7
10 min walk cool down
Enjoyed the workout, was sweating pretty hard at the end of it. Felt good for maybe a couple more reps. Oh by the way I’m really skinny and 22 years old. 20 miles per week to keep in shape.

That seems like a lot! I don’t know if those 600s were close to you 1.5 mile pace, but if so that seems very challenging. Maybe need to rest after that.
Yeah, I quite liked the workout and if I didn’t get a super painful side stitch I would have carried on. I’d love to run more that 20mpw but my leg always feels weird if I go over that so if I want to exercise for a couple of hours then I choose to swim or bike (low impact). Anyway, last time I did a 1.5 mile time trial my time was about 10:45, however I feel a bit fitter now and that was about 4 months ago so I’m just hoping I’ve knocked about 60 or 90 seconds off that since.
Oh by the way, sorry, I forgot to ask your take on things. Do you think I could run under 9:30? Or at the very least under 10?

If those workouts felt good, absolutely under 10. In my opinion, under 9:30 too especially if there is any adrenaline or competition. Maybe 9:00?
9:00 would be a very pleasant surprise seeing as that is 6 minute mile pace, I would also be getting a new mile personal best seeing as my current best is 6 minutes and 20 seconds. I don’t think there will be any competition because the test is taking place on a treadmill as far as I know, it isn’t like a track race.
Definitely sub 10.
How far under 10 depends on your endurance.
