This is a real question not rhetorical - I genuinely don't know

The outdoor world championships aren't until October, broski.
Late August or October, peaking for winter greatness rarely means greatness outdoors. Remember outdoor Olympic gold medalists, Lori Jones, Houston McTear and Martin McGrady
Remember when Matthew Centrowitz won world indoor and Olympic gold in the same year...?

Yes.
It was impressive. For those who want to do it, Mr. Centrowitz proved it could be done and done relatively easily.

Wait - does anyone else know?
nothing about it @joshk97 on his twitter page.
My guess is because Danny is growing as a Coach. Last year his timing sucked. Drew Windle looked great last year during indoor but wasn't even able to show up for USATF Outdoors. He is always saving his athletes for the next big thing and ignoring opportunities that are right in front of them.
That theory sounds very accurate. It may also be because Danny has a lot of money on his payroll (behind only Bowerman and NOP for contract dollars) and with Kerr running great times, he may just want that performance to ride for now as he works on rest of group getting to Kerr’s level (which they will need to to be a real contender at USA’s)
I feel sorry for athletes that are forced to give up opportunities because it doesn’t fit with Danny’s master plan.
Why was Allie Buchalski told she couldn’t go to Scotland to represent USA in Cross. SHE MADE THE TEAM. She has been on this team twice before but told NO this year. What is he saving her for? I felt the same way when both Allie and Dillon were told that they couldn’t go to TRINIDAD for NACAC. They both made this team as well.
These are young athletes that have no chance of making another USA team this year.

They both have turned their focus on the indoor championships. Tough to simultaneously train for cross country as well as track. Both of these two will be in the finals at USATF Outdoors.

Ditto
Making the Finals at USATF does not compare to being on a US team. They already gave that up. If they don’t make the World team in track they were cheated.
They weren’t “cheated”. What are you, 12? Grow up and let go of your irrational hate for Mackey.
