An obvious reason: Peaking for outdoor World Championships. Peaking in the winter and peaking late August rarely works out.

Late August or October, peaking for winter greatness rarely means greatness outdoors. Remember outdoor Olympic gold medalists, Lori Jones, Houston McTear and Martin McGrady

U dumb
Why would he need to "peak" more than he already "peaked". He is ranked number 1 right now. I don't believe that there is a rule which requires you to "peak" as soon as you enter a championship.
I also don't know
Why don't you ask his coach, Danny Mackey. Danny thinks he is the smartest guy in the room so maybe he has an answer. Oh thats right, the Brooks Beasts have been a disaster under Mackey.

Yeah! Windle’s indoor world silver, Yorks’ runner up at USA’s and Mackey being a world indoor finalist are just horrible achievements. Kerr’s indoor 3:35/3:53 PRs suck! He should be ashamed! What a loser!
I don't know either
Thanks for the responses. The vibe I'm getting from this thread is that nobody knows
