The downhill gimmick course will compensate for pretty much any expected weather event. So your PR* will be fine.

39 and raining is one of the worst weather conditions an elite can get in a marathon. Especially if you add in rain. Very easy to go hypothermic. 2 weeks still plenty of time for the weather to swing.

Meh, I remember running a marathon when it rained on the rain that had rained on the rain. That wasn't that bad, so it you add rain to the rain for CIM, then it shouldn't be too bad. Good luck!
Idk about Forecast accuracy 2 weeks out. But if the overnight low is 37 and high on Sunday is 59, maybe that means 40’s during the race- and the wind is NNE or ENE- with occasional al showers- hmm, could turn out to be pretty good day for a race.

When it rains in Sacramento it's rarely gets below 50F. However, there have been a few CIMs where there was heavy rain and wind that made running a miserable experience.
The high school XC Oakland finals got cancelled due to the smoke. It's not even going to be held.
CCS finals were supposed to be held at Toro Park on the 18th. Did that ultimately get to go on too?

Way too early, but this site has the forecast as low-40’s at start and finish and windy.
They also have the air quality conditions posted. Right now - Unhealthy. 183.
http://www.findmymarathon.com/weather/california-international-marathon-weather.php100% chance of rain this Wednesday and 90% on Friday.
The race is definitely on (and hopefully the fire completely gone).
Not a good idea. CIM will permanently ban anyone caught selling their bib.
I think it will be fine.
I'm getting tired of this same question repeatedly being asked.

Good news if true.

Yep, you're a jealous gutter rat. The course is 26.2 miles. It's not a plummeting downhill. Happy your troll comment got a response?
According to this site, AQ in Sacramento is forecast to be good on Friday, after the rain passes through.
air quality right now 11/19 is terrible but the future forecast looks fine

It's tough to call, apparently the fires may not be contained until 11/30, which only gives a few days to clear up. I surely wouldn't run a marathon unless the air is significantly better than it is now.
After the rain, things may look much better.

11/30 was the projected day from the beginning, but they're apparently ahead of schedule (65% today). AQ is typically good before full containment. When you get to 100% containment, a lot of the fuel is gone. A fire can still be technically "burning" for a while after it's no longer a raging inferno.
Any cim updates from Sacramento?
