Most people here care about going down ocean, natty boh beer, raven football and crabs !
But if you replace "ravens" with "colts" how is that any different than 20-30 years ago? Back in the day it was all about goin down e ocean, natty boh, Colts football, and crabs yet people found ways to run fast. Maybe the death of the maryland marathon killed the city's enthusiasm for the sport. Just a thought. Depending on your exact location relative to the good trails, Baltimore can be just as good as Philly, Atlanta, or even DC when it comes to available training areas, yet the other places have a thriving club scene while the old BRRC is dying a slow and painful death. Too much emphasis on participation around here, almost to the extent that speed is looked down upon by much of the running community.
