I found the Zoom Fly's bother my Achilles if I run slow in them. As soon as I pick up the pace and get more mid/fore foot they go back to feeling amazing.

Jordan just posted up a very sad Facebook post. She has a Calcaneal stress fracture. I googled it and it’s a very serious injury. One of the worst apparently. 3 months to 2 years off. With cast. Has anyone out there had this? How did you recovery go? Were you able to run again? That poor girl.

That sucks. Injuries suck, period!

Abundant intake of calories/nutrients and restorative rest/activity is key. Can’t get away with starving yourself on high mileage for too long.

I am sad to hear this. Jordan is a nice person and I wish her a speedy and full recovery.

It's also sad how many people on here take pleasure in other people's misfortune, but this is Letsrun so totally not a surprise.

Will Jordan be able to run the olympic trials in one year and an half ??? I hope...

You’re so right. Now she concentrate on eating and resting. Before you know it she’ll be at her best again, without the gaunt starved to death look that she pulls off so well.

I hope so, she should eat more peanut butter though. I use too be underweight and injury plagued. But, I added peanut butter to my diet, added ten pounds to my frame, and bam no more injuries (knock on wood.).

What great performances did she have prior to joining Salazar?

She joined Salazar right out of college. Are you implying she should have been running "great" performances as a collegiate?

Healing time said 6-8 weeks when I looked it up. I guess it depends on the severity.

I'm sure she'll be back on her feet in no time.

Idiot.. they as in most Nike pro runners have their training shoes made specifically for each of them. The rule has nothing do with what’s a runners uses for training but for racing..... most of a marathoners running is outside of Competition but you may need that spelled out for you. And yes that rule is new because before guys and gals donning the swoosh would also wear prototype racing spikes or what about Gwen jorgensons 4% shoes with a spike plate that she wore for the 2018 USA champs 10k??

Fat people never get overuse injuries. Being heavy reduces the pounding on your body while running. Fat is the optimal running weight.

What she really needs to do is put on Kipchoge weight. That fat b*stard is never injured. If she could only put on a lot of weight like every other elite marathon runner she would clearly not be injured.

And stop wearing Nike. Only people who run in Nike get overuse injuries. Yup.

Oh yeah - and stop running on a round planet. People who run on a flat earth don't get injured because they don't have to combat the curvature.
