Sorry that you guys hate Ryan Hall but you can't deny what he accomplished and say that his AR in half and his 2:04 are bad arguments for self coaching not always being a bad thing.

He set it shortly after he stopped being coached - while he was still enjoying the benefits of years and years of coaching. Did he keep getting better and better under his own coaching if he was so good at it - or did he continue to get worse? Yeah. He didn’t get better. Not even Ryan Hall is going to argue that his time coaching himself was a wise decision. I get it, you have a crush on Soren, but if you can remove your sexual feelings and concentrate on running you would be more objective.

I like the guy. Don't know the guy, but have watched many of his videos. I'm rooting for him, but he's got some choices to make in life, as we all do. Most people are a lot more satisfied with life when they choose to get their s#it together.

I liked you because you were positive and showed support of soren, but you’re really bringing yourself down here. Ryan Hall is one of my favorite runners but his career plummeted after he started to self coach. He ran his AR half marathon before being self coached, and ran fast at wind tunnel Boston only shortly after starting self coaching, and was never the same after that.

Do your research bud. Soren needs guidance. I’m sad to say that he’s probably not going anywhere in running at this rate.

Allie O for one. She was a World Jr. Mountain Running champ and multiple Mt Marathon champ.

Yes she is the one. This guy is unique. This is a good risk to take for Oregon if they didn't give him a scholarship. The worst thing that could happen is that he fails and disappears. I guess he could drag some of the team down with him though. The upside is that he could run 13;40.

Nothing helps depression like moving to EUGENE.
