I get a kick out of these posts. Yeah right it’s the employer fault. If they truely were a toxic environment u would not need to warn anyone. They’d go out of business. The problem is you. You whiny child.
Seems your university also has a problem preparing graduates for the real world too if the recruits are not making it
If work was enjoyable and pleasant they would not have to pay you. That’s called recreation.
You are the privelidged brat here. I worked for a small company that wasn't going bankrupt (quite profitable from my limited knowledge of their bottom line actually), but the culture was 100 hour work weeks were okay and bad performance was rewarded. It had some pretty good qualities as well (great coworkers and people that really cared), but a few bad apples in leadership positions at a small company (or anywhere) can make for a truly toxic with environment.
I handled it by being up front with my concerns and telling them I was planning to leave if nothing happened to change. They tried, but it was too late and just got worse. I left on good terms for another job and still have many friends from that job. However, I never posted on Glassdoor. I preferred to take my concerns up directly with leadership. That might be because I have more experience than you so I was more willing to bring it up (and I liked the personalities of the leadership, just not their workplace decisions), so my situation might be different.
Regardless of what you do, don't listen to DiscoGary.
