I know Jakob and Filip beat him but Centro actually ran a really great race today. There's no point in sh****** on him today. This board has got some serious Centro haters.

Yeah, he was solid. Not a bad time at all. The ingibrigy kid will get a lot of hype, but he’ll probably never get the hardware Centro has.
Time? What did Jakob run?

That is a secret. Nobody talks about it.

What hardware?
"Hardware"? The M-F**ing Gold Medal you idiot.
7th is a good race for an Olympic Gold medalist?
He ran a FAST race but I don't think he ran a good race. He stayed in the back for the entire time, in a FAST race, and tried to make it all up in the last 200m. Did he really think he could get by everyone with his kick? Watching the race I thought he was making much effort at all to be in it.

That’s how he’s looked in every fast, Monaco-type race he’s been in. He apparently can’t hang at that pace, but he’s made the best of what he’s got.

I agree with this. He’s starting to go backwards. I thought he was supposed to be breaking the AR... 3-4 years ago. That was a perfect race to run fast and he didn’t. 7th place, in a “weaker” Monaco field which he sort of gamed. He’s been doing this for the last six years give our take a little. He’s got the medals and we love him for it, but I fear he’s never going under 3:30. Same goes for Jager ever breaking 8. I think both of these guys have their fastest running years behind them. Which is ok, they’ve done us proud.
I fear that we’ll
Damn, he looked good. In his face, in his body, and in his run, he is in form. 3:31 is a damn good time. He was relaxed, calm and was in STRONG control.
I really think he can run sub 3:30 if he wants to right now. But just save it for next year. I think he has a shot at getting another medal before it is all said and done.
Managoi was out their cruising in that last 100m, while Cheyriot was pumping hard to get the win. Cheyriot has been running hard all year long, putting up great times, but will he be in the same form next season?

Agreed. Horrible race tactically, despite the time. He was racing against himself instead of those in the race around him.
Although i'm sure he'll say this is all part of Alberto's "master plan." Saving his legs. Non championship year. Blah. Blah. Blah.
Some of you are comical. That was a very good race coming from where he has been the last year. He is finally rounding into good form. Good for Centrowitz! He wins medals which is what we want. If he ran 3:28 but didn’t medal then you clowns would say he sucks because he couldn’t medal.
Great career so far. Keep it up Matt! Never listen to the ignorant.
He's a good runner who's been lucky once.
Can't wait for the other racists to come and explain he's been slowed down by his tan.
Gold outdoor. Gold indoor. Silver outdoor.
And unlucky to miss a medal by .04 in 2012.

Did you have a stroke?
There was no luck in his gold medal win. He made one of the best 1500m fields in history his b*tch from start to finish. Gtfo of here with luck.

He’s been ‘lucky’ a lot more than once

Right, he's been lucky to run in slow finals more than once.

Jakob ran 19 seconds faster today than that silly piece of metal.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
