Less than .5 from his PB!!
Love the determination! Everyone like Coevett wrote him off said he'd never run 1:42 again!

I never said that?
That's a nice job.
So many runners will make a big splash and disappear.
He's run under 1:43 in three different seasons and last year he ran 1:43.18

I judge capacity 46 sec flat at 400 is at least the demand for being able to break the world record at 800m. If I ever get an American with that capacity in my training it gonna be interesting!

The people who predicted that the people behind the drug mess would toss more money into the hands of officials in order to offset the increasing evidence of African PED use were right. In order to play off what's happened with Kiprop and others the spigot has been turned wide open. The guy who said we would see a return to the days of cheating Geb and others was spot on. This is sad. Amos is no better than 1:44 or 1:45 without drugs. Amos was one of Aden's boys, no wonder they're letting shoot up.
Great run by McBride and Ordonez, two guys have to endure year round testing, and aren't enjoying the political protection that so many third world runners have. Sad state of affairs.

He is an Aden runner. Sketchy. And to be hitting close to his PR at 30 is unusual to say the least (he is not 24, even his own agent admitted he was likely "...23 or 24," in London).

Amos joined OTC. I think he’s pretty equitably tested.

I agree.
I have a feeling this guy is clean. He ran fast when he was young and has consistently run fast as long as he trained a little. I believe Amos is a very gifted runner who maybe possesses some unique ability to handle the by products of anaerobic energy. Maybe scientists will test him for his unique ability. He has never had much form or high quality training until this year and has run very fast from a very young age.
Maybe a super talent.

Don't confuse lack of form or lack of facial relaxation for effort. People around the track do it all the time. The smooth runners hurt just as much but are better at hiding it.

I can't wait to see Amos in 2020. He's going to be a fierce competitor for gold, and I believe it's him.

I'll take him for gold at Tokyo! He's the real deal too - no PEDs in that thoroughbred racehorse!
Amos be da man!
I can't stand watching him but full credit to the race today.
That right arm doesn't flail so annoyingly when he's on the lead as when he's struggling to overtake down the stretch

Considering he couldn't even walk after the Commonwealth games final in April. It is quite a suspicious turnaround or a mega dodgy track.
