She does need a break and this may be why she gets injured. Her mechanics have nothing to do with her getting injured. Can she improve these some and be more efficient? Yes, but you can not just change someone's running form and mechanics if they have been running for 8-10 years. She gets it done! No need for big changes. But yes, she needs some downtime. Is she still racing to get sponsors? Maybe.
Hmm, Yes, she gets it done at the level of about 4:10 and 15:20 or so. Good running! But anyone with a practiced eye can see she overstrides. The further your foot strikes ahead of your center of gravity, the more it impedes your progress. Unless she fixes - and it may be fixable - she'll never make the leap to world class.
Brooks will have an announcement coming soon.

Why is Karissa still racing??? Long hard XC season followed by a tough indoor season (3K-5K) then doubling 5K-10K in outdoor, USAs 5K. She’s got nothing to prove. With her mechanics I predict she’ll be injured before her first indoor race of 2019.
Agreed that she would probably benefit from a break. I can see why she wanted to run USATF Nationals in her home town this year. I would have thought she would have taken some time off immediately after that.
I totally disagree. She is a pro now. She's goigg to have nothing to do all fall.
I've always wondered what in the hell do pro runners - who aren't marathoners - do in the fall. If she races through August, she has 5 months to get ready for February.

Sadly, no.
But, there usually is one for Heusden-Zolder where she might be racing on the 21st.
She is already set with her (Nike) group. She will announce end of summer!

You could ask wejo...
Predicting BTC...even though they have so many people
Never say never. You trying to tell me that all world class runners have perfect running form? And what exactly is perfect running form? I think you look at her times and progression and compare it to other world class runners and that is her potential. She will prove you wrong I hope! I am a runner of 32 years and coach of 21. She will do just fine.
I think she just needs to get stronger and he form will get better.
Is this true? I've been wondering why Amy-Eloise Neale hasn't been picked up as well. I read she's talked with some teams back east, but nothing since. How'd she do in the British Championships?

If she's still unsigned and has an agent she is probably just biting her time to make sure she gets the best offer possible. I'm sure the agent will get her a nice deal within the next few months.
Hopefully everything with her turns out well, she could be the future of female distance running.
I agree, when her time is bit, she’ll announce the decision.
She'll run when the time is "bite"
She has offers from several groups (Brooks, Rebok, etc.) but is waiting on Bowerman to finalize her offer before she decides. We should have an answer pretty soon.

It actually the other way around, Nike has made an offer.
They are waiting to see if somebody comes in with a blowout offer like King Ches got.

It is always funny to me that old slow guys are so eager to pace fast women.

Considering she doesn’t run for Mizzou anymore why would she be running in gear and not getting paid for it. She is in Europe, Mizzou didn’t pay for that travel and entry fee.
What is she supposed to do, throw away all of her gear?
Of course she has lots of Nike stuff after four years on a Nike team. That is probably all she has!
And if she needs to buy something, why would she not get products she already knows? Do you want her to buy a random Adidas sportsbra to start a bidding way? Do you think it even works that way??
That is not Mizzou issued gear.
Is she related to the notorious Nazi propagandist, or is Schweizer a common German name?
