Sure! Why don't we let El Chapo out too because apparently people found him likeable. Lance Armstrong is no hero. I read "it's about the bike," and while it is a great read, it merely serves as a facade for an American DRUG kingpin. Should we revere our distributors as pioneers? In fact, Lance has done little but to try to make people view him as a good man since his ego would accept no less. If Lance was truly a good man worth any respect, he would have admitted his wrongs long before the interview with Oprah Winfrey and would not have subverted or threatened people beforehand. What do I mean? Those who are strong and worth respect are the ones who do the right thing or their own thing before the masses put pressure on them. For instance, two of the strongest women in modern history (very modern), Ellen DeGeneres and Chastity Bono, did their own thing by Ellen coming out in her own before so many did, or Chastity becoming Chaz before many were empowered to consider themselves transgender. It was, to them, the right thing to do. And many of us agreed. How does this relate to Lance? Lance waited until everything was on the downswing to get people to feel sorry for him when he made that admission. As a result, he is no hero. He was just another dirty drug cheat who got caught and lied and twisted it into a mafia-style hiding game. For what he was, there is no more to like about that man. No thank you.
