Saturday May 21- 15+ beers trip to Providence.
Sunday May 22nd- 7 beers at local bar
Monday May 23rd- 4 beers (2 running store, 2 my place.)
Thats 60 beers. I have not been running much recently, and would guess 16:15 or so to be my best 5k right now. When I ran my PB I was in college and doing more the 4-5 nights drinking, with 1-2 big nights. Believe what you may, its not impressive nor something to be proud of, I'd rather run 14:30.
While being in Providence is a good excuse to drink, you, my friend, are a drunk. Please don't drive a car anymore.
Are you two guys (the ones I copied/pasted below) FOR REAL??? C'mon, is that serious?
I could NEVER drink that much that often and still run/work/function like a human being. Sure, in college I binge drank heavily, but even then it was usally only 2-3 days a week (weekend). You guys are pounding almost every night. Crazy.
And do you really count your drinks like that? I am not making fun of that, but I guess in college I counted (sort of, sometimes), but as I got older I would lose count if I drank a lot. I just knew it was a lot.
But I hardly ever get hammered anymore. I drink a couple beers every night (WITHOUT FAIL), but not often do I drink more than that.
You two should hang out and start an AA/RA (alco anon /Running Addicts) group.

College PR: 15:34 (3 years ago) Around 30 beers a week, occasionally drank liquor.
Currently: 15:32 (last year road race), Around 35 - 45 beers a week (way too much)
Week of: 5/15 - 5/21
S 5/15: 0 drinks
M 5/16: 8 beers, yuengling @ the bar after work
T 5/17: 10 beers, Sam Adams Seasonal, Happy Hour after work
W 5/18: 0 drinks
T 5/19: 6 beers, 4 Guinness, 2 Mickey's gernades (not a good mix)
F 5/20: 15 beers, 6 Killians, the rest Yuengling.
S 5/21: 18+ beers, at the Preakness horse races.
Ran 61 miles. Six weeks into base after starting from zero due to injury.
14:48. Do not drink beer or alcohol.
Don't drink

It's funny, I don't count how much I drink at all, and that is a joke I have with some of my buddies for whoever actually "counts" their beer consumption.
I only know because I was looking at the receipts to the bars I was in last week and they put the amount of beers and what type was drank.
I plan on cutting down my beers to under 20 a week by limiting the amount of time I spend at the bar. It will make it easier to train and save some money in the process.
For the record, I wouldn't suggest drinking this much in college. It's great to party and hang out in college while consuming some beers, but if I had to do it over again I would have paid a little more attention to my diet.
I run with a guy who drank as much as these guys are "drinking" and his skin turned yellow in about a week.
I'm not sure what's more fake: their 5k PBs or how much they're drinking, probably the former.

~4 bpw
My PB isn't that fast, I can name a handful of high schoolers in my home town area that regularly beat me in local road races when I go home to visit.
Drinking this much alchohol will not turn your skin yellow.
Maybe after years of abuse, but not within a week or even a year.
anyone done 100 miles and 100 beers in a week? some friends and i want to attempt it this summer
13:53
probably drink 10 beers a week.
3-4 glasses of wine
3-5 mixed drinks

Probably both. Drinking exaggerations are as bad as workout exaggerations, but about the same goes into them:
1. Take one big solid workout/session that actually happened in the last month.
2. Pretend that you do that three times a week.
3. Pretend that you do THAT every single week.
4. Pretend that you consistently throw in smaller but solid workouts/drinking sessions on every other day, without fail.
PRESTO -- you're a "100 miles-per-week, 35 beers-per-week" runner!
I'll be the slow guy on this thread but I am 46 and started late but 18:36 5k and about a 12 pack Fri-Sun.

Very similar you and I.
14:58 and about 2-3 beers per week then
About 2-3 beers per MONTH now (at the most).
Hey FW....maybe you should drink more now, because something is wrong with your brain and is causing you to make up stats now. Check out the "Ritz......has zero kick thread." You have been schooled by two people on it.
Nancies, the whole lot of ya.
13:27- 10 to 12 Steinies a week, 5-6 pints of Guinness for
the iron.
I could probably be a sub 4 guy, but i drink honestly about 40 beers a week, recent mile p.r. is 4:03.
13:56
10 English pints per week in one session. About 15 beers in American sizes.
15:40 in January
I drink something like 10-15 per week, usually on Saturday nights. Occasionally I have more, but not on any regular basis.
