Nope.. i did not crash in Mile 1. I was the guy stopped to the right trying to tie my shoelaces between miles 13 and 14. I finished with a 2:54.

I came in at 3:05 but wanted to drop out at mile 3. Hypothermic and nearly passed out but I crossed the line. That was the worst race in history. Where I live it does not get lower than 75°F. I knew I wasn't going to PR so my goal was survival and just finish the race. Just couldn't stay warm. For me usually 170bpm is about race pace. I only averaged 149bpm for the entire race. Nearly even splits. The Newton Hills were not a big deal but that weather. That weather was just brutal. 3:05 in that hurricane? I'll take it...
Welp, time to capitalize on my fitness that I already have and train for NYC in November. Some races you do good some are horrible. I'll forever remember Boston 2018.
