Thanks everyone for the advice. Lots of helpful info in this thread. For my situation do you think it would be more practical to go to an exercise science graduate program or PT school?

Is it common for TA or Research positions to pay for all of graduate tuition? How difficult is it to obtain a position such as this? I assume professional schools such as PT schools don't have such an option.
Yes, tuition is paid for plus you get some money. I got my TA simply because a grad student did not show up. I must have been next in line. Don't forget, from the University's point of view TA's are cheap labor compared to faculty. Universities could not function without TA s to do the sh*t work professors don't want to do. You will have to pay for professional schools like a PT school.
Wondering if you intend to go your entire life without incurring debt (likely not possible) or is it just school debt that you are afraid of?
I'm an exercise physiology doctoral student currently. I had quite a few offers with full tuition paid and a fairly generous stipend for both my masters and doctoral studies. Most involved teaching fitness classes for the school. I will graduate with quite a bit more money than I came in with. Feel free to DM me any questions
