Who?
And where the f77k is Stamford?
Cool story bro.
Seriously, who really cares? What a crap thread.
Who else is fast among the starters? Will anyone go sub 31?
Karissa and Gwen only ones.
32-flat
Sub 32 will be a piece of cake. I predict a 31:30ish, based off that 15:15, past road results, and additional training since then. She has 32:12 from the roads in 2015.

Real fans of the sport are interested. It's sad how anti-triathlon people come on here with their stupid "who" comments, trying to criticize an Olympic gold medalist. Sad, jealous, petty, insecure losers who can't applaud someone else's success. If not Stanford, she will crush 32 sooner than later. The only reason she doesn't do it at Stanford is if she trains through and doesn't fully taper.

That should be a good race.

Assuming there are others running sub 32 pace, she should go sub 32 easily.
She should be pretty solid at judging her effort since she’s run a lot of 10ks... though after the bike.
How many women do you think can run under-32 who might be at Stanford? They will be on their own.

Seriously excited to see what she does next.
But wasn't she up at altitude for a month building miles and doing tempo/marathon type workouts. Doesn't seem like she's ready for a fast spring 10k.
Yeah, that training strategy worked so poorly for Meb a few years back when he came down and set the 10K AR at the Stanford meet.
Wow, didn't think I'd get jumped all over just cuz I thought her training was not geared towards a serious 10K. Sorry for not providing any concrete numbers. But like other said, I think she's fit enough for mid-31. Which is awesome.
And no, she is not going to come down from her altitude marathon training and run 30:13 or better for an AR. I do think Gwen could put up a really strong 10k (sub 31, maybe by a bit?) if she really focused on it for a year or more.
Anyways, it's all guess work. I am excited to follow her path and see what she does.
