That 300 meter hard, 100 meter easy is one of my favorite workouts to do. Looks like a typical leg turnover workout to get the legs going.
Cool vid. Thanks for the link.
Oregon does 30/40 for 200/200. Here it is 47/20 for 300/100, which is quite a bit harder, though only for two miles. Looks like 5k closer to goal pace for Centro.
Add on, of course, that they then run 3M at 6:27 pace and finish at 4:00 pace or better for 6/4/3?/2.
3 miles at 6:27 pace is supposed to be impressive? That's easy run pace for these guys. Not even. The rest of the workout was fairly impressive, I think?
Centro seems to be in a good place. Cool to see a high caliber workout from a high caliber athlete. Targeting the 1500 or mile AR in the summer...

Missed the point, bud.

What? The "No bad gas" and "No throwing up" commands didn't appeal to you?
Anyway, I used to frequently run 2 x (600m, 400m, 300m, 200m, 100m) typically at 1:45, 68, 49.5, 32 and 15.5 (so the pace per 200m goes 35/200m, 34/200m, 33/200m, 32/200m, 31/200m. As the season progressed I would cut that to 1:42, 66, 48, 31, 15. I can't remember the exact rests. But that was a workout from a book by Bill Bowerman or Bill Dellinger.
Another sequence from that book was 400m, 600m, 400m, 200m usually at goal pace (for me aiming for 61, 1:32, 61, 30) on a 200m jog.
I usually followed this with a 2-mile jog and then 8x200m (typically starting at 32 and the last one or two at 28 or even 27) on a 200m jog.
Who is the tall guy in the group? that is some of the most interesting running form I have seen...
I need more of Sr. cracking on these guys lol.

Yeah. The old guy trying to act tough turned me off. Can't stand seeing middle aged men with big bellies trying to act tough. Retire and play golf please.
It's good to be young. These kids putting needless pressure on their hamstrings with dopey designed workouts.
You can take the boy out of Oregon but you can't .....
Interesting to see him doing the same type of sessions that you read about Oregon runners doing back in the 1960s & 1970s. Some tough(ish) intervals, an easy run and some more intervals (usually lower volume but slightly faster.
Sort of supports the idea that when it comes to track sessions there is nothing new under the sun so it's pointless trying to reinvent the wheel!

Very strange statement. Classic Dellinger workout.

Yeah, I was doing (much slower and much shorter) iterations of this workout in middle school, when I was coached by a guy who used to run for Tyson at Mead.
What is everyone finding impressive about that?
If prime Alan Webb did that workout it would be
3200m Run: 300 On (38 sec) | 100 Off (20 sec)
3-Mile Run: 6:30 pace
600/400/300/200: 80/47/34/22 pace
Are people finding it impressive or just seeing it as a nice look into a workout by an Olympic Champion?
Who were the other dudes in the video?
