Did 4 guys really step inside the rail?
How did 4 guys get DQ'd in 2nd heat? There was no obvious contact in that race.
anyone have a live stream link?
Hagos knocks Kipchirchir to the track. Gets away with it.
Chelimo stumbles and steps one foot inside and is out.
Thanks IAAF for not killing the sport!

Very interesting.
Mo gets away with A LOT!
Ahoure and Thompson qualify automatically in heat 1 of the 60. New world leader for Ahoure at 7.01!! The prevoius WL - Oliver - of the US was 4th and will have to hope to get in on time.

Heat 2 disaster for IAAF World Tour winner Pinto as she is out!!! What the hell are they doing? For some reason, they can't get the results up past #2.
Big Drama as the final 2 people tie for final auto qualifying spot. Can you say raceoff? There isn't room for a 9th person in the final and I don't want a 2 section final.
They just said on the IAAF broadcast that they will now only have 1 time qualifer meaning that Olier - the world leader comign in - is out. That's absurd. We need a US protest. The rules are top 2 in each heat and next two fastest. The fact of the matter is Oliver was one of the 2 fastest losers. In my mind, they need to have a raceoff of the two from this heat to figure out who is 2nd in this heat. There is ZERO reason why Oliver should be out in place of them.

This was discussed last year. I think the assumption was Farah was bumped and had to step out which means you shouldn'be DQd. However, in watching it I could never tell for certain if he didn't trip on his own feet.
With Chelimo however it is clear it was his own doing.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=8351258Hell Paitn a 9th lane on there, but you can't not take Oliver. Only the top 2 in each heat are auto qualifiers. You don't take a third auto over a 2nd time qualifier. Figure out who the 2nd auto is. Raceoff!!

rojo not knowing the rules because that exactly what they did
OUCH, Windle 3rd! But fast. We’ll see in 3 minutes....

1:45.52 new pr surely that will be fast enough.
Windle, c'mon. Unlikely to make the finals after that. Poor tactics imo.

You think 4th place will be faster than Windle in Heat 2?

This is why rounds are exciting to watch

I didn't realize it was a PR, so I take that back for the most part. Still, it looked like he peaked at the screen, and thought he could coast into 2nd. If he went to lane 2 off the turn, I think he'd have been top 2 easily.
'Where qualifying for the next round is based on place and time (e.g.,
the first three in each of two heats plus the next two fastest), and
there is a tie for the last qualifying position based on place, placing
the tied athletes in the next round shall reduce the number of athletes
qualifying based on time.'
an appeal would be futile
