Most middle school runners in the US don't have heritage from East Africa and two very talented parents that ran/run professionally. Definitely not ordinary for a 13 year old, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. For all we know she could be the next running phenom and run amazing youth times. She could keep getting better, burn out, or progressively get worse and leave the sport, but anything can happen. I'm sure the Halls will take care of her and she will be fine, whether she runs "too much" or not. I do agree though that it was a bit silly of Ryan to share her training on social media. The last thing this girl needs is unnecessary expectations and publicity put on her... similar to how Grace Ping and now Katleyn Tuohy are getting a lot of attention from running outlets.
