Let's do a comparison:

Definitely slower in Div III, but df***inone is telling us that 3:50 wouldn't make top 8 at his Div I school?
Now, Ivy League would crush Div. III? Let's take a look at the Heps 1500 this year:
FINALS
1. Josh Yelsey (Yale), 4:15.51
2. Bruce Hyde (Cornell), 4:15.52
3. Oliver Tassinari (Cornell), 4:15.70
4. Ben True (Dartmouth), 4:15.87
5. Gerry Groothuis (Columbia), 4:16.02
6. Scott Sebens (Penn), 4:16.17
7. Harry Norton (Dartmouth), 4:16.17
8. Jordan Kinley (Brown), 4:16.39
9. Casey Moriarty (Yale), 4:17.57
10. Sam MacKenzie (Cornell), 4:17.59
I understand that this was pathetically slow. Some heats were won in the 3:50-51 range. But the point is that facts are sorely lacking in the div. III trashfest above.
P.S. I was Div. I. I'm just writing as a fan of truth not slander.
