The quote of the day of Hasay talking to Molly Huddle really sums that up, where she says: “She is just someone that I’ve looked up to for years. She’s incredibly gritty, incredibly tough, talented."
She has also only had positive things to say about the other elites, immediately congratulated Shalane Flanagan after the NYC win, etc.
She has never spoken ill about anyone publicly. And yet she is the one who seems to be getting shunned by a lot of the pro runners.
Interesting how many pro runners all act like Letsrun is the negative cesspool, yet they shun arguably one of the most positive/shining lights in the sport.
Jordan Hasay is one of those types who only has positive things to say about everyone. And yet she is the one who is shunned

Talking about* Molly Huddle.
-
She just needs to eat more and then she'll be perfect.
-
She's getting shunned? ??? Really?
-
A lot of the pro runners noticeably don't congratulate her while congratulating the others, and make snide comments.
-
I know you can not understand this but anyone that continues to have ties with Alberto will forever be shunned.
-
Give a dog a bad name and hang him now? There is literally no evidence that Jordan Hasay is involved in any of this. Her name has not appeared on any lists (unlike Evan Jager for example), no suspicious racing/training, etc.
-
Anyone that chooses to stay with Alberto should justifiably be shunned. It is her choice to work with him. The reaction of everyone in the know should not be surprising.

Jealousy. Tall poppy syndrome.

Hit the nail on the head!! -
Somebody who only says positive things of others is not to be trusted. It is the same type of person who fakes niceness with phony smiles and is fundamentally not a genuine person.

True and most people are guilty of this at one time or another myself included. I see no reason to
not like Jordan Hasay though. -

I'll speak from personal experience because I've met Hasay before. She seemed really nice and genuine to me and asked about my running. I'm usually pretty good at spotting a phony and she seemed like the exact opposite of that. -
So she should turn her back on the guy who believed in her through her dark running times and supported her through her mother's death due to something a jealous ex-runner of his said?
Shunning someone who literally has ZERO evidence against them is disgusting behavior. Are you from North Korea? Should we just ban her now?

If someone has a Trump sign on their lawn I have a certain opinion.
If someone has a Hillary sign I also have an opinion.
If someone is laying in the gutter of the street and is asking for money I have an opinion.
If someone chooses to work with Alberto I have an opinion.
Your opinion may be different than mine on any of these situations but I am only human to have an opinion. -
Yes, although it's much more than one person and their is plenty of evidence. If she wants to be respected by any people that are knowledgeable in the sport she has to drop her coach. Even Mo could see that.

How come Matt Centrowitz doesn't seem to get the same treatment?

you can be a very nice person and a cheater at the same time. maybe she's not even aware that what she's doing is cheating -

It seems more like nobody is aware how she is cheating... we just know she is definitely a cheater! -

Did you listen to the Citius Mag podcast with Wheating this past week? Wheating wanted to get a fake rivalry going with Centro to bring some drama to T&F. Centro ended up vetoing the idea because he knew he'd be painted as the villain. I think Centro isn't as well liked as far as milers go and understands the perception that his club has.
It probably helps that he has a gold medal to his name in keeping some of the criticism back.
