https://www.usgs.gov/faqs/do-alligators-and-crocodiles-exist-together-anywhere-world?qt-news_science_products=0#qt-news_science_productsWhat the ... I never heard of American crocodiles in the U.S. I stand corrected, thanks.
I was wrong! Okay, how wrong was I?
For full context, the American crocodile mainly lives in Mexico, Central America, northern South America, and the Caribbean Islands. In the very south of Florida only, there are approximately 1000-2000 only. Nowhere else in Fla or the U.S.
For comparison, there are 1.25 million alligators in Fla.
So, between 0.08% and 0.16% of the crocodilians in Fla are crocodiles, while about 99.84-99.92% are alligators.
Thanks again. I stand corrected.
I’ve got more bad news for you as Egyptian Crocs have also been found in the glades.

I know there is one living in the Cincinnati Zoo.

Because the radical environmentalists have a sentimental attachment to them, just like they do with wolves, grizzly bears, whales, sea lions etc. They think we can return to 1700 and have perfect harmony in nature without interference by Mankind. In other words, they are idiots.
I think you are on to something...
We can't return to the same number of high capacity AK47 style assault weapons that were around in 1700. Kill the alligators and ban assault weapons!
"Modern crocodiles and alligators are almost unchanged from their ancient ancestors of the Cretaceous period (about 145–66 million years ago). That means that animals that were almost identical to the ones you can see today existed alongside dinosaurs!"
In other words, THEY'RE DINOSAURS.
Crabs, too.
So are chickens, but they aren't quite still T-Rex. Crocodiles and alligators are the same damn thing.

They are not. You can look this up easily on the internet. It's actually even apparent in the sentence you quoted, which says that crocodilian ancestors "existed alongside dinosaurs," which implies that they weren't dinosaurs, but rather lived next to, or alongside, dinosaurs. If I said that I have an orange alongside a lemon on my plate, do you assume that, "in other words," the orange is a lemon?

I agree! They serve no purpose.
What "purpose" do you serve?
Name the creatures, on earth today, that existed "alongside dinosaurs."
You're wrong about a lot of that.
There are crocodiles in florida. Mostly alligators. But yes there is a. American crocodile in florida.
Most dinosaurs went extinct. A group that didn't became modern day birds.
Source: google.
And I'm a herpetologist

Crocodilians
Sharks
Bees
Mosquitoes
Snakes
Horseshoe crabs
Lobsters
Snakes
Platypus
... etc.
Why do you ask?
Every animal that existed alongside dinosaurs is not, by definition, a dinosaur.
Dinosaur doesn't mean "very old species"
You're probably trolling anyways
That list would be gigantic....
What are you getting at?

Whoa! What does your knowledge of STDs have to do with dinosaurs?

Gators are the best thing about florida.

1) Crocodiles don't live in Florida. Alligators live in Florida.
2) Crocodiles and alligators are separate related species, like wolves and foxes. Or chimps and orangutans.
3) Alligators and crocodiles aren't dinosaurs. Dinosaurs, pterosaurs, crocodilians, and birds are all members of a group of animals called archosaurs. Dinosaurs & pterosaurs went extinct; crocodilians & birds survived.
Sheesh. *rolls eyes*
You ain't never been in Florida. Crocs are down near the south end of the everglades in brackish water. Easy to tell apart from gators.
No, we must protect crocs. They are cute and serve a vital role in the ecosystem.
I propose a hug a gator🐊❤️week!
Its moron* you idiot
