What's the deal. No Hyperspeed anymore? Is the fuze any good?

Try the dynaflyte
Not sure if Asics is still making the Hyperspeeds.
Just looking at the specs, the fuze and dynaflyte do not look even remotely similar to the Hyperspeed. Running Warehouse has a couple Tarther variations that are close to 6 oz racing flats. No experience with them either.
I loved the Hyperspeed 3's and 4's. My favorite racing shoe now for up to 10 mi is the Adidas Takumi Sen. I think they have a similar feel to the old Hyperspeeds. Just bought a pair on ebay for $72.
If you want well cushioned racing shoes you can try Asics Lyteracer or Skysensor.

Yeah, but if you want not cushioned racers, which was always something you could count on Asics for, it looks like you might be out of luck unless you get their Japanese shoes.
they have the tarthers still
ASICS used to injure me, but then again, I'm always injured.
Asics have gotten so bad that I have moved on to Skechers. I figured if Meb could win in them, then they were good enough for me. I'll admit they don't last as long as my old DS Trainers but the GoRun5 and GoMeb Razor are both good running shoes. Especially for those that don't like to support the Nike machine.
Same deal here - I ran only in Asics from early 2000s to the middle of this year. I switched to something else and have been very happy.

I use to wear only New Balance but then noticed the quality went down and then I injured my achilles in New Balance. Tried a couple of other brands and settled on ASICS last year and so far very happy with ASICS so I'm surprised to hear from long time ASICS users that ASICS quality is declining.
