I’m a sophomore in high school. I run xc and track. I’m a pretty good mid distance runner, I’ve run 2:03 for the 800. My coach never put me in the mile so I don’t have a time for that. But anyways yesterday I ran a 19:45 for a 5k xc race which is extremely pathetic. Earlier in the year I had run a 17:27, 17:36 and my pr of 17:04 on much harder courses. This isn’t the first time this had happened to me. I tend to race extremely inconsistently I’ve had 3 races this year where I run over 19 minutes. What’s happening to me?
