I think the above band you were referring to were the Undertones (irish?), nice pop sound.

That's right-hand autocorrect
Saw them live when I was about 13. A few of us met the bass player afterwards. He was chatting to an old friend who turned up from his home town. The bouncer tried to kick us out, we all said he's in the band but he didn't believe us. The guitar player didn't say a word and just went out onto the street with the rest of us chatting & signing autographs.
https://youtu.be/Pgqa3cVOxUcThat was actually right - autocorrect it's going crazy
Descendents (every crossover "punk" band borrowed/stole their sound)
Minor Threat
Early Pennywise
Early DRI
The Faction
MDC
SWA (all out of print)
Black Flag
Selected Bad Brains tracks.
Government Issue.
the Zeroes
Suicidal Tendencies (first record)
Youth Brigade
Reagan Youth
Murphy's Law
Agent Orange
Vandals
Wasted Youth (early, out of print)
T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty.)
D.I. (hard to find)
the Controllers
the Dickies (early)
There were so many others. Most of these have something in circulation. That should keep you busy.

Some good suggestions so far. I like NOFX. Snotty, but cerebral. Fat Mike is a genius songwriter. Albums to try include
Heavy Petting Zoo
Pump up the Valuum
Coaster
Self Entitled
White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean (that's a white guy, two Jews and a Mexican - the band's ethnic make up)
45 or 46 Songs That Weren't Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records
Punk in Drublic (generally considered their masterwork, but I like most of their other records better)
Lots of good bands mentioned. I for one liked Agnostic Front, Crow Mags, Fear, GBH,7 Seconds SNFU, and do on. There were so many great punk bands in the early days that had such an influence on music. It was trully a nice era to live through. Some of these guys are still touring too
Black Flag absolutely sucked .
Husker Du punk ?

The OP wasn't asking our opinion of Henry, he was looking for some punk. And how would you characterize Husker Du? Math rock?

What have you heard that piqued your interest? Do you want some recommendations for the best ever or some new bands you can still go see?
