Maybe, god forbid...
Money is the most important thing to some people!! Maybe they care about family, friends, nature, running, etc. more than the numbers in their bank account.
Ever consider that idea, Mr. Elite east coast??

So what does a guy who graduate with Finance degree two years ago from College have to do to make 100k in the mid-west? Serious question, I will like to know on how i can make 100k.
I know this is a troll thread, but I just wanted to point out that only 6.03% of people over the age 19 make over 100k. Only 19.9% of households do.
So basically 93.96% of people are lazy, dumb, or both?
I make 50k.
I have summers off.
I have breaks to ski in the winter.
I have spring break to mountain bike in April.
I coach kids in the fall.
I read classics like Hamlet, Lord of the Flies, and The Road during the day.
After work and on the weekends I roam the mountains for elk with my bow, fish with my rod, and rocks to rope up on.
At night I hang out with my wife and my bird dog.
Sometimes I browse Letsrun to read the running news to share with my kids.
I talk to them about running, life, and the good ol' All-American running days of my youth.
Keep your money, troll on, and stay the hell away from Wyoming--you might be "uncomfortable" here.

I have taken this to heart, with great benefit ;)

The cold hard truth is, no matter what you do or accomplish, you end up dead. And in a few generations, no one will remember you. (We don't even remember notable historical figures, we're just aware someone by some particular name existed along with a few snippets about their life.)
True. Your great great grandchildren will only be 1/16 of you. A very small amount, if you think about it. They might look a lot different than you, too.

Move to the East Coast, lazy bum

Your bird's name is dog?
I'm a lazy dude. Fell asleep at my desk today because I ran hard this morning at 5:30 am. Still make 220k just running stupid regressions on SAS and doing other brain dead work.
Just given that you know what SAS is probably puts you in top 1% of knowledge base and should put you in top 1% of income. If you weren't lazy you'd make more than 220K.

My post earlier mentioned making 6 figures in a low cost of living area. It was the mid-west and I have a degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. I was selling new construction homes. $20k/year salary, $100-130k/year commissions. Most who have been making big money for many years in the industry have no college experience. Those who have been in it for 20+ years are $200-400k, the top part of it being the business owners.
So, learn some people skills, basic selling skills, and a lot about homes. Then, work 9 am to 9 pm from Monday through Saturday with a ton of bank paper work and random customer walk ins. Have fun!
Fvck off east coast. No one gives a sh1t about your donkey d1ck threads.
I haven't read this whole thread, but you are a troll.
But not just any kind of troll, you are a mean troll.
You probably are enjoying people getting upset by your thread.
Uncomfortable, unspoken truth: OP is a dicckhead.

Social media might end up changing this
I left a much higher paying job for a chill position at a tech company. Better hours, cool coworkers and very casual environment, much more interesting work. I still make six figures but COL here is high, so someone living in the midwest could have a comparable lifestyle on less than 100k after making a similar move as I did.

Your statement doesn't account for time value of money in a cost benefit analysis equation.
Person A: Graduated from high school at age 17, undergrad at 21 and law school 24. Person A as a practicing attorney never makes more than $87,500 a year.
Person B: Took a gap year after high school to hang out. Person B took a gap year after undergrad to hang out. Person B got through PhD program eventually by age 37. By age 47 Person B is making $110,000 a year.
I do not feel like taking the time to do cost benefit analysis on Person A and Person B. We cannot make a snap judgement that Person B is smarter or harder working than Person A.
You talking about me bro? So I'll work to 68 instead of 60 or 64.

One of my friends lives near Laramie - and I'm thinking that's where I'd end up eventually. Lower cost of living, better scenery, lovely people and no big city life.

Hey, I resemble that remark!
