It's true that the term hobby jogger is not very meaningful literally speaking, but there still is a difference between people who try to race say a marathon and those who try to finish it. I don't want the latter to pollute this board, there are already enough places for those. Whether racing means 2:20, 2:40, 3:00 or 3:30 depends on so many individual factors in addition to effort, it's really the attitude that matters to me.
Hobby joggers run for the clock. Real runners race to win.
