The lid on Caster's times is put there not by the IAAF, but Caster and his handlers. They want the Gravy Train to continue.

Will Semen-ya have to actually train to win the w1500 in Doha'19? The obvious laziness of this dude is one of the most galling aspects of this entire farce. I would be surprised if he runs more than 18 miles a week, and not that fast.

Quite, she/he/it could have easily won the 1500, but that would have been taking the mickey.
When a 14 year old boy with the same quantity of testosterone as Semenya could easily beat the women’s world record holder over 1500 (and all other races) - imagine what time Semenya could run if they dared let her make a total mockery of the current women’s world records.
Jamila was not built like a tank.
Slender but with well defined muscles .
Very feminine and girly , unlike what her photos would imply .
Had the unfortunate neck / jaw disfigurement which made her look more masculine .
Kock also girly but with massive thighs for her era .
Remember they had east Europe make up etc from the period.
Semenya says she is going for it next year. Makes sense without a global championship at stake. They can use all the pretend crap that she is building toward it and training harder. Once it's a good field and fast track in some Diamond League race with multiple pacesetters Semenya will finally decide to break the record, many years after she could have.
Caster: Semen? Ya!
Look at Semenya dancing in ‘tradition clothing’ at her wedding.
What’s that - Zulu?
I don't know, she has a nice career doing what she is doing, why jeopardize it. She can probably break the WR at any time but that will just draw more attention to her. I wish they would just leave her alone, she was born this way and has no control over it. Athletics are not fair anyway, what if a 5' 8" guy wants to be a NBA star, probably not going to happen.
Semenya can probably run 1:51-1:52 but that might end her career so we might not ever see that.

Personally I could give a sh*t on this matter. I watch T&F, as well as other sports, for strictly entertainment value. But isn’t it some or even most of the other competitors whining & crying about this matter? So, if they're so upset about it they should quit and go find something else to do. There's always beauty school or something for them to pursue. Same with some of these trouble makers on this site that keep trolling on this issue. It they don't like Semenya competing than quit watching! There's always horse racing you can watch instead. 😄
They let her run 100m, so it depends how fast the other girls can run a 700m. That will dictate how fast Caster can run. You can't really make up that much time in the last 100m. The max you can make up is 1.X seconds. No way you can make up 2 seconds.
Look I'm still relatively competitive for my age at a local level against the younger lads. I think my testosterone levels are 15.2 so if Semenya’s is 21 that is a massive advantage. Like I would have to take PEDs to get to those levels. Women have no chance up against this in the 800m.
The 800m has been a joke since the Czech's record. Same with the women's 400m. Wipe these records and also award medals to the true Rio winners.

Who are :true Rio winners?" 🤔

I'm not convinced she will jeopardize it. That video the other day was the first I've seen her express specific interest and timetable to breaking the record.
She could always change her mind.
Absolutely she was born this way and raised female. I'm sure she is a great person. He interviews are impressive. But I'd have tons more respect for her if she ran full out at least once in a while, instead of obviously sandbagging.
Once the verdict is made in a month or two on the testosterone study Semenya will probably feel freed up to give her best effort. She knows they won't review the matter every year or two. It will be two legal successes in a row and a free and clear window.
Meant to write "Her interviews are impressive." I don't want to make it seem I was calling Semenya a He.
Why can't we edit posts on this forum?

Jarmilla was on roids. Semenya is on testosterone. Women's athletics is f##ked, well at least the sports these names compete in. New rule, you need a pony tail to compete in women's track and field.
Clarification: testosterone is a steroid.
I agree with you, well put....
If you need a 600 word post to explain why/why not this person should be allowed....
Then they probably shouldn't be allowed.

It is not "on" test. it is a man running in a woman's race.
I am amazed at how consistently everyone on here thinks the only difference between a woman and a man is test levels. It's ALL the other physiology as well, more musculature, bigger lungs, etc... there is a lot more differences between men and women than just the testosterone running through our bodies.
SeMENya should be in the Men's race.

The basis of any athletic contest is at the the appearance of fairness. Your example is not on point at all.
This more like a 22 year old competing for the Jr. Olympics. Sure why not after all, athletics are not fair anyway, it's JUST entertainment, right??
