Watching the replay of the 2017 World Championships (I'm bored, there are no other sports on right now). Kovacs was most definitely robbed. Yes, the replay shows his left toe hitting the board. However, there is no angle that shows it hit the TOP of the board. The only still photos they have shown of this show the toe on the side of the board. They really need, at the professional level, to have sensors on the shot put ring like they do for the blocks of the sprints. Any pressure sensed is a foul and you can't argue. This from Kovacs was a foul? Maybe? Maybe isn't good enough in a World Championships. The fact is, Kovacs threw the farthest and was robbed. Similar infractions went unpunished throughout the competition.
