interesting....I would assume Berlin as well as that's the best bet for a WR which seems to be his focus.
I couldn't see him doing another fall marathon over the WC
man if he runs Berlin......
him, kipchoge, and Kipsang 3 best ever

Sweet. So we all get to see the matchup we wanted. Again.
True. He is not in the team. Neither is he on the team.

Burka won the 10,000m trials but isn't on the team? Ridiculous.
Good. People kept insisting he would be on the team, but I didn't believe it. Nobody goes to the WC marathon if he can get a better deal elsewhere, and of course Bekele can.

But...but...but...you all said that the sub 2 hour attempt was robbing us of this! Did I cry myself to sleep at night for nothing?!?!

Wait, what happened to Alamirew? He was third in the 10K trials, Belihu (18 years old and I've never heard of him) was fourth ... Unless Alamirew is injured that makes no sense. He ran 13:06 in Lausanne just a few weeks ago.
The EAF's criteria is that an athlete will be selected if he/she wins the national held this year in Addis, but in addition must have the IAAF standard and also must perform well in trainings. Andualem won nationals 10k, has the standard, and probably has been performing well in training.
Epic team. Ethiopians not as clueless as AK.

Barking up the wrong tree kid, I was a fan of that attempt

The sub-2 attempt robbed us of something, but it wasn't this. Check back in a couple of years (or maybe even after this race) and see if it really took nothing from the legitimate sport.
2:16 Marathoner???
