The whole idea that we should have the national anthem before football games is stupid.
It's not a match between countries.

Pandering to white a$$holes like yourself is the reason K isn't in the game, beginning and end. "Funny" how you "free market" cretins don't mind the NFL's anti-trust exemption.
"Amazing" your head doesn't explode from the intensities lies and self-delusion you keep in there.
Peace,

Damn Angelabia, that has to be one of the most incoherent posts I've ever read in my life. Nice job!
yup, serious crazy going on in that post
drugs? stress? head injury? lack of a basic education? afflicted with some form of liberalism?
RG3 doesn't have a job either.
The fact of the matter is there are a limited number of jobs in pro sports. If you are a 'distraction', rarely will you get a job in any pro sport unless your talent is too good to ignore.
Basically if you are a backup and a distraction, you are unemployed.
That's how I'd label Kapernick.
The same label applied to the 'great white hero' TimTebow. If he wasn't a media force, he very well may have been a 3rd stringer, but coaches didn't want a media distraction on the team that isn't starting.
Steve Clevinger - a white baseball player who made a tweet last year last year that some viewed as racially insensitve - isn't in baseball either. Teams just don't want to deal with the drama whatever it is the result of.

If you are going to protest, you need to be better than the 29th best quarterback in the world. If Cam Newton took a knee, he would still get a job. If Tom Brady took a knee, he'd fix racism in Boston.
Kaep takes a knee, and he ran himself out of the league. He let the racists get a victory. Yes, drawing attention to the cause could be Noble, but he should have taken care of himself first.
Also, can someone explain why he opted out of his 49ers contract? No way they would have waived him, am I right?
It is more than just 'taking a knee'. A lot of players took a knee during the anthem and are still playing football.
Kaep wore socks that depicted police as pigs. He made statements comparing the US to Cuba and supported Castro.
He is undoubtedly better than some backup qbs in the league but those other qbs don't bring the bad pr and distractions.
Correct, he opted out of the job he had. This is ALL on him.
I think he's too stupid to realize he was working in the entertainment business. It's a business. Just consider how quickly anyone else in the real world would be fired for bringing bad PR to your company that negatively impacted revenues. They would literally escort you to your car.
One of the best posts by the Brojos I've ever seen around here. Well done.
And my standard message to anyone that gets worked up about Kaep is if you are going get worked up about something, how about it be a major problem in your community, because that's actually the here and now. Some professional player exercising his first amendment rights and making donations to charity's is small potatoes compared to the actual problems we face.

No, it's a good idea to promote nationalism at any opportunity that is available.

Yah Pookie....The whole world is racist....All of your problems are because of racism..lol..
Thanks, Badge Butt Boy.

NFL teams are in the business of entertaining fans, not winning games. Usually the two go hand in hand, but if an individual takes a dump on an institution many Americans hold sacred, he's going to have a hard time finding work.
He's probably good enough to start for a third of the teams in the league, but he's not good enough to be a difference maker. No one wants his baggage and the circus it will inevitably bring.
^ Basically this.

THIS. Kap can take a knee all he wants. It's free speech. However he's not immune from the consequences of said free speech and not good enough to be above it. No one will touch him.
Let's not forget, he was 1-10 as starter in his last season. Who wants to pay that type of guy big money?
Then there is the whole distraction thing.
It is not a color thing, it is a money thing.
I think it's great he can not get a job! You kneel to the National Anthem you deserve that! At least deserve not to go out and get paid 2 million to play football and entertain millions of people who pay to see you do it!!! Stand up and welcome to the real world Mr. blew it!
Kap is out for a basic reasons:
Career
1691 drop backs
171 sacks
37 fumbles
10% sack rate
(His 10.8% in 2016 was the league worst)
1.8% interception rate
2.2% fumble rate
So 14% of the time is not good.
He's played 6 years, so he is unlikely to progress. And he costs more on the league pay scale than rookies and junior players: rookie minimum $465k, Kap year 7 minimum $900k.
Offset by what? Game winning drives 9 total over 6 years. Nothing to write home about.
K is unsigned for those reasons.
Wanna argue?
Brandon Marshall took knee. Is a clubhouse plague, a PR nightmare, costs a ton and is signed this year in Philly. Why? His on field performance.
It is what it is.
Yup, that's the reality of this world. You can be a POS, but only as long as you can produce. Happens in sports, happens in business, happens everywhere.
