For real, very sad. It's a bummer losing both him and Chris Cornell so recently. Those first 2 LP albums are still some of my favorite rock albums ever.
The last album LP put out was essentially a pop album. I strongly disliked it, but so many people were just downright hateful and acidic to them all over their social media for it. There was really no point for any of that because by all accounts, Chester was a pretty awesome person and didn't deserve that crap.
Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands, mainly due to Chester's voice. Many of their songs hit a chord with me. I'm glad I got to see them perform once a few years ago and I had hoped to see them perform again ( I have tickets to one of their joint concerts with Blink-182 before the end of this month).
My condolences to the band and Chester's family.
