I've had a chronic hip flexor/high IT band strain since early january. I've done weeks upon weeks of physical therapy with a very knowledgable PT, taken time off, done easy running, taken diclofenac, ibupfofen, had massage done, nothing has helped. I've just finished my 2nd week of no running at all, and my leg hasn't improved in the slightest. Both the doctor and PT don't know what else to do. This injury has already stolen my last indoor and outdoor collegiate seasons, and if it doesn't start improving soon, my goals for next year will be compromised too.
I'm really frustrated right now, and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and what they did to speed along the recovery. Even better would be a referral to a physician/PT who sees a lot of similar cases, etc. Any help at all would be appreciated.
