The last time I remember her, she dropped out at NCAA XC Champs. Looks like she did some racing and qualified for the 10k with a 34:12.04 at her school's conference race. Best of luck.

yeah I saw that too
I knew she was going to do well! 1st in 33: 37
That's a big comeback on her part considering she ran a 16:51 5k last month. Only after a few weeks of solid training.
33:37 is 16:48 5k pace for perspective

Yeah, shes getting into shape, lets see what she can do at nationals. She beat Anna Rohrer.
You do realize, it doesn't matter if you are 1st or 12th in this race. I wouldn't call this a win. Most ran controlled to get to the finals.
Beating Anna means nothing. Top 12 go. Anna has ran a 31:58 this was a tempo for her.
Anna started the race running controlled but that is not how it ended. She was struggling to hang in there over the last mile. I predict she is a scratch in the 5000.

^^ well considering that would DQ her from the 10K finals in two weeks it's safe to say she will run the 5K. And I predict she will run HARD. She's better off honest racing from the gun.

Lol, please. There are 12 first place finishes in this race and the rest are last.
So she wears shoes now.

I don't have her splits but still surprised that no one from the pack caught up to Annie Bothma until the last lap. She did look like she was putting in much more effect say the last 200 m when she realized two runners were catching up to her but she did increase her pace and either held off the one runner or actually pulled ahead the last few feet after barely being passed.
She looked very tired at the end of the race and I would not have been surprised to see her collapse but she quickly recovered for her victory lap.
Did you watch her victory lap? I was surprised how fast she was running it and how much she appeared to have recovered in a very short time after finishing the race.
I did question her and the other two runners' decisions to go for the win rather than just qualify like the others.
Now did Anna Rohrer finish 7th because she was running smart and saving her legs or did look tired as someone else in my household commented?

Yup, Anna DNF in the 5K, the 10K was legit.
