Just got laid off - what to do now?

First thing you do is blame Trump.

Next, piss and moan about it to everyone you know or meet.

Finally, you go on some sort of public assistance because why should you take the blame for getting a degree in a field with absolutely no job prospects?

Nope don't blame anyone but myself.And again I'm not unhappy or upset - just looking for a change!

Wednesday May 24 - day 1!

Ate super healthy whole food meals (oatmeal and black coffee for breakfast - tuna wrap, apple, banana and veggies for lunch and chicken, rice, spinach for dinner.)

Ran easy 6 miles in morning and 200 push-ups before bed.

Logged 2.5 hours on codecademy (JavaScript module)

Worked my new part time job 4 hours.

This is even more depressing than the original poster. This guy is about to undertake at least 8 years of college and has worked a total of 3 years. He went from a worthless degree to a boring degree on top of it. Too bad professional student isn't a career.

Thanks! Although I think I'll stick to cereal puffs advice (programmer, 2-a-days, unprocessed foods) Seems like a nice focused, simple and manageable plan.

haha i'm pretty grown up and have been going in 9-5 my whole adult life. I am also working part time right now and my hourly salary is pretty decent. If I chase down any random 9-5 job it will likely pay the same or marginally more than the part-time one I have now so I'm looking to use my free time to do something else.

Buy a one way ticket to Colombia (if you are lucky they can be pretty cheap. I got one for under 200) and travel South America for a few months. If you want to travel, now might be a good time. Use airbnb.
