Over a year or 2 ago I saw a You Tube video that was about a track race. I believe it was a High School/ college meet and the event was a Two mile/ or 5K race. The announcer and essentially all the spectators were convinced the race's leader had counted the laps incorrectly as he started a "real sprint and last lap type kick" upon crossing the finish line with TWO laps to go. So, as this lap progresses even I started to feel bad because the runner appeared to be running with an all out effort. As the announcer was saying surely the runner was mistaken as he approached the finish line...the runner does not stop and completes the final lap just as strong . It was truly an inspiring race video. If anyone know the actual title to search for this I would like to share it with a runner to make the point that most young runners can kick far longer than they believe they can.
