I can believe everything but the go for a run part.

Sounds about right.
This is an over hyped vacation with some bike riding here and there.
No kidding.
Although, he could be running laps in his mom's basement.
from reading this thread I'd say that #4 is false too. you don't go "downstairs" from any basements I know.

I must admit that was a pretty good one. Well done.
Holy crap, I just got back from my run, checked on my boy Darren and discovered that he is on the move again. Based on the time they ended the other day and the time on the running clock, they started out at around 9:40 eastern time.
I'm sure he contacted the Richmond Bicycle Club before they left, as they indicated that they would like to ride with him.

We actually had a few guys meet up with him today. Let you know how it goes when they get back.

You better get Kavinoky to ride the 120 miles left to Washington. Should be easy for him.
Been Lurking around here and giggling for days. I have a quick question. Their tracker "lost contact" now for over 5 minutes, is this normal? I have done trail runs through the woods in BFE and never lost contact with my Garmin for anywhere near that long. Anyone have a clue? Obviously the accidental turned off, but I mean a real plausible reason to lose contact for that long on a road not too far from a major city?
They are in the South Anna Elementary School parking lot loading the bikes into the RV.

There is not any shred of integrity to the tracking data. Allegedly Garmin is a sponsor, so one would think that the equipment would be capable, but certainly not like they are using it.
I noticed that they have been standing still in the parking lot of a grade school for a while, over 20 minutes. What's the deal there, Darren? Are the Richmond Bicycle Club riders proving that you are not capable of averaging over 15 mph all day like on some of your many previous days? Keep in mind, those 15 mph days were despite your occasional stops, so you allegedly were traveling faster than that when "riding".
Right now the tracker last shows they are in the parking lot of the South Anna Elementary School.
It's not normal for the tracker to lose contact for extended periods of time. Even if the LocaToWeb tracker app running on Kavinoky's iPhone loses cell connectivity, it continues to record GPS coordinates and uploads them when it gets online again.
For Kavinoky, when it appears he lost connectivity, it's because he intentionally turns off the tracker leaving a big hole in the GPS data consisting of a straight line between two distant points.

Often, the funniest things are also true. That's what makes them funny.

I check this thread about once per week. It continues to be the stupidest expose' thread in the history of letsrun. Continuously checking the tracker and monitoring a guy who doesn't even claim to be running or doing anything of significance. What's the point? Unbelievable.
I just spot checked a 3 mile stretch, and he averaged 17.7 mph. Hopefully the Richmond Bicycle Club riders can verify that.
Stats: from 115:23:00 to 115:33:09 and 1355.6 miles to 1358.6
3.0 miles in 10:09 = 17.7 mph.
Will someone else waste your day like me and please get some similar readings so people don't think I'm full of shit and making this stuff up?

Kavinoky did claim he would be running from over a month back since he said he was fully healed. I have yet to see him run.
115:33:09 to 115:49:35 = 16 min 26 sec
1358.6 to 1363.6 miles = 5.0 miles
18.3 mph
Our boy is moving!

I hope the bike club is actually out there with some Go Pros. It would be like the Tour de France where Kavinoky is doing a breakaway and the pack has to chase him down.
Nice our cycling tourist is on the road again.
115:49:35 to 116:35:44 = 46 min 9 sec
1363.6 to 1376.6 = 13.0 miles
16.9 mph
