Not a week passes that I don't have to see one of these fanatics spouting off some new age guru's tabloid trash about how we evolved from apes and therefore should eat like monkeys. Well, the bad news is the only people who look like monkeys are the 'hardcore' vegans. Get over yourselves you are going to croak just like the fatties. But I'm sure the 7-15 extra years you are supposedly going to earn will be real fun in the nursing home. Over the course of your lives you'll probably waste 7-15 years making your special vegan meals.

there are more reasons to go vegan than just your health.
i've been vegan/vegetarian for 15 years. i haven't been sick in 8 years. i've run marathons (not fast, but who cares). i get plenty of b12, calcium, protein and all that crap.
but i also don't participate in the cruelest, most inefficient, environmentally damaging practice that the human race has ever come up with. the meat/factory farm industry is not sustainable from an environmental standpoint, and the animals used for meat/dairy on these farms (animals who have been proven to be physiologically similar to dogs and cats in terms of being able to feel pain, have emotions, family bonds, etc), live horribly deprived, tortured lives.
if that's "forcing veganism down your throat", than so be it. if the truth makes you uncomfortable, maybe it's because the truth IS uncomfortable.
If God didn't want us to eat animals why did He make them out of Meat?
We could feed the world on a plant based diet. All the wheat and whatnot that goes into fatting animals for slaughter could feed all of Africa easily. Think of starving children next time you eat meat. I'm only one person yes, but that's one less meat eater. It's a thought.
What I would Really like to Know if one of you vegetarians could tell me is What do you feed you dog?

Take a look around...MOST people everywhere you look are pretty unhealthy looking. I'm not sure how you know what each of them is eating, but I'm pretty sure most of them are dining on a standard, American, meat-and-processed-food diet.

Rather than posting stupid propaganda websites, if you would provide links to actual data from research you might have a better argument. As it stands now, the easiest way to counter your argument is by providing links to the propaganda that claims the opposite. I can create a website that makes any claim I want. I can even provide misinterpreted data. In fact I can just make shit up. What makes you think the sites you posted are created by anyone better?
Provide some links from some respectable sources and you might have an argument. Until then, you aren't convincing anyone except those who look for any evidence to support their unsubstantiated claims.
This is obviously biased reporting. These people are picking people who didn't do the diet right. I know of many people who have had large amounts of success on a vegan diet, and they get all the vitamins they need. Besides, most of these "symptoms" are from a healing crisis, in which the patient is rapidly cleaning toxins from the body and experiences extreme symptoms from removal of toxic wastes in their blood stream. The guy who didn't have enough vitamins clearly wasn't careful enough about what he ate. We are not religious freaks, but we like truth. Many do it to be closer to God, and by the way, I don't believe we evolved from monkeys. We also do it because it is healthier. As I have explained before, meat is nothing but dead muscle and blood cells, and it does not give you any health benefits, the protein argument is just a myth.
