Obviously a talented trio, but I live near Boulder and feel a 6 second adjustment over 1-mile seems a bit on the hefty side. There's definitely a conversion factor needed when racing at 5400 ft, but is six seconds to much? Anyone have thoughts?

Time will tell.
I am always skeptical of these altitude conversions.
Calculi is always telling us of these Kenyans that have run 1:40 altitude converted 800ms or 26:20 10ks but I've never seen them mean anything at sea level.
Saarel ran 3:38.4 last spring. Using the 1.08 conversion that's 3:55.8. Perrin ran 3:59.0 last winter. Klecker won the husky 3k and mpsf 5k this year. Not outrageous to imagine them running 3:55 or 3:56 in a perfectly paced race at Washington which is basically what they did at CU a month ago
Ummm...ever hear of Christian Soratos?
If the OP had looked at previous times and performances the question never would have been asked. Another useless LetsRun thread.
I think the 6 second adjustment is more for the person coming from sea level who is not accumulated to the altitude. ,
Like Soratos? Hahaha

Yes, cling to your only example. Keep blinders on to every other shred of evidence contrary to your viewpoint. You will go far on letsrun.
Perhaps you even have even one counterexample? Thought so... hhaha

Props to the Speaker of the House for his 11th-place finish.
I'm well aware of the accolades of the CU buffs. I'm simply questioning the 6 second adjustment.
