And "FAX Only Please" got more science wrong. CO2 is a gas. Unless somehow trapped as a bubble, it is incorrect to say that "CO2 was contained in them while living". You get CO2 from decaying plants when carbon from the plant combines with atmospheric oxygen.

Getting desperate, I see - clinging to technicalities. OK, the carbon (feel better now?) that was contained in them while living - what happens to that?

Now, here is a very simple test for you - to see if your ignorance is truly as enormous as you try to advertise it as. Imagine that one could close the Amazon inside a dome - what would be the effect on the oxygen supply of the rest of the world. Sharp drop? Sharp jump? Basically nil?

PMSNBC decided to boycott Trump’s July 4th celebration, they won’t air it on their network. Does anybody watch that network? That's objective journalism at its best, haha!

I think that the major media--not just that network--have looked back at the billions (literally) of dollars' worth of free publicity that they gave Trump in 2016, and maybe feel a little bad about it. They thought they were just getting more clicks, not electing a president--like everyone else (including President Trump himself), they were not expecting him to win and figured the pub they gave him was just harmless entertainment.

I have no memory of previous DC fireworks shows' being televised nationally and see no particular reason why this particular one should be. 'Most everybody's hometown will be having a fireworks show; no need to watch the DC one.

. . . PARTICULARLY when the President's intent for the show is that it serve primarily as a re-election rally: ~$100 million of rally at the taxpayers' expense.

I am an unabashed Conservative but I quit watching Fox and only watch MSNBC including Laurence O'Donnell, Rachel M. and the rest of the nutjobs. I need someone to explain to me why I watch MSNBC.

I already told you what happens to the carbon in trees when they die.

If the Amazon was a closed system, it would be closed off from the rest of the world. That's the answer to your foolish question.

But it's not a closed system. The Amazon is part of the world.

The Amazon produces over 20% of the world's oxygen. It's a well-established scientific fact. Anyone here can look it up.

I think Healthcare is a RIGHT to all residents of this country. Citizen or not, you live here, work here, you are growing this country economically, culturally, etc...you deserve decent healthcare.

You didn't address Alan's point.

Illegal immigrants get health care today. They not only get ER care, but they also get hospital care. The hospital works with the patient to get as much payment as they can, but the rest of us foot most of the bill. It's just like any other patient without insurance.

And just like other patients without insurance, it's cheaper to provide primary care so they don't end up in the ER and/or the hospital.
