Hobby joggers be crazy.... wrote:
Today on my run I passed a HJ who was decked to the nines with a camelback, Optic Nerve sunglasses (it was cloudy..), Nike Dri-Fit Compression socks (yep, because you'll definitely need those for your 6 mile long run), bluetooth headphones, AND a waterbottle belt to go with the camelback (it's 40 degrees out Y U SO THIRSTY!!). Unless this was a new a ad campaign for runnersworld or something, the modern consumer, specifically hobbyjoggers must be pretty dumb to buy all of this crap. The only times that are going to be dropping by wearing all of this crap is that time it takes to declare bankruptcy from spending all of your money on useless junk.
Was that you? Sorry I startled you when I came up form behind so fast. Were you doing a cool down jog? I was just finishing up my 40 miler. It was sunny when I started so I just left my shades on. The headphones are pretty sweet. I do admit I get a little bored when I go over 30 miles so I like to have some tunes to listen to. Maybe we can go for a run sometime.
