It's embarrassing to call them professional "athletes".
If their foot gets stepped on they fly high through the air then they fall over and roll five/six times, dropping to the ground to act like they are dying in agony. A bit of "magic spray" and they are brought "back to life" in 10 secs.
I've never seen anything so ridiculous in other sports.
mmm, I don't know - theatrics aside these guys perform one or twice a week over a LONG season. Compare that with some elite Marathon runners who'll pencil in a couple of races a year and happily pull up if say the wind is blowing in the wrong direction or if its a bit cold or if they've got a "sore tummy". mmm?
The beautiful game and the worlds most popular game by far. Not everyone in the world knows LeBron James but they all know Messi and Ronaldo.
I do like the Uncle Drew video even though it is too staged. The Ronaldo video of him working as a soccer busker is brilliant.
Good idea, they already do this
Thread on a message board populated by scrawny distance runners about how other athletes are pussies? This should be good.
Hey English people, American football was developed from your Rugby football so quit whining about how we don't kick the ball. You started it.

If you get a chance, try and get a seat close to the pitch at any Premier League or Championship game in England, even when you have played the game in organised leagues as I have done it is still a shock to see the speed and violence of the impacts and cheats apart (who exist in all sport), nobody concerned says a thing.
The greatest problem being that some of the most innocuous-looking tackles have produced some of the most serious injuries
