The only person who should be fired is the writer of that truly pathetic excuse for an article.
Released for speaking the truth??? Oh my!
I like that the article mentioned John Rocker. I miss John Rocker.

I don't understand why people struggle so much with the concept of free speech. Free speech means that the government can't censor you (in most cases). It doesn't mean that a private citizen can't think you're an asshole for what you say, and it doesn't mean that a private employer can't fire you for what you say.
Yes, it is free speech. That's why the player isn't being arrested.

I agree with you and an employer absolutely can fire you based on what you say. What bothers me is that free speech is only going one way in today's society. The liberal media makes Kap out to be a hero and this guy is attacked visciously for speaking his mind. Liberals are much more intolerant of opposing viewpoints and conservatives pay the price.
This is some BS. Clevinger should not be suspended. Any rational person would realize that BLM is a terrorist organization that is brainwashing the minds of millions. Just goes to show how messed up the world and media today is. To BLM supporters I ask this - Would you be willing to be a police officer and put your life in danger every day? Would you keep your cool when a criminal on drugs and possibly armed is not cooperating with your orders and risk being shot and killed like other cops have been recently? Clevinger simply stated that it is not OK to be a terrorist and got suspended without pay. Hopefully the MLB won't be brainwashed by the crap like the NBA and NFL has been. Honestly...

Yep.
This is big news. The first thing I ask myself when I wake up each morning is "Ryan, what is the back up catcher for the Seattle Mariners tweeting today?".
Professional ball players are only allowed to engage in anti-United States speech and how whitey is to blame for everything. If you don't agree you are a racist.

It is amazing. And depressing. And annoying.
Lol, nice tweets. I agree with them wholeheartedly.

More members of the public will agree with the Seattle Mariner's catcher than will agree with Kaepernick, but yet the media will praise Kaepernick, while condemning the catcher.
If you're offended, stop supporting the team. I stopped watching the NFL last week and won't watch again until the players stop spitting on the flag and inviting anti police sentiment. Plenty of others are doing the same, and eventually the NFL is going to notice a drop off in ratings which will prod them to enforce their rules. Even if it means enforcing them against members of the privileged black race.

Maybe if conservatives, as you call them, didn't equate humans to animals when they decided to speak their minds they'd have less of a price to pay.

I didn't know conservatives are the ones wearing "COPS ARE PIGS" socks...
I am surprised the players union doesn't put up some kind of stink for suspending a player without pay - even if they do not want to endorse what he said on social media. It sets a precedent that I am not sure the union would like set.
Good counterpoint. But nothing on those socks is calling for cops to be put behind bars like animals.

The thugs in NC are behaving like animals. They should be locked behind bars.

It's getting scary folks. The leftists are fascists. I wish good people would stand up to this - boycott MLB.
