Niceguy542007 - jealous that you were able to run all of you mileage on trails
CanadianRunning - I like the wednesday cutdown workout. Keep it up
Myles Splitz - Nice job being consistent while travelling. Not the easiest thing in the world
Logan Decker - Congrats on the deadlift PR. Any running (or other athletic) goals coming up? As for my taking two days off, I've just had a lot of problems with not being able to string together consistent stretches of training for, well forever really so I'm hoping that this will lead to me not needing to take as many breaks from training.
TDodd - Very impressive 6th 800. You should TT an 800 soon to see what your PR actually is.
slo-twitch - You are in great shape. Just keep healthy these last few weeks. As for my 5k training, I'm trying to not push any one workout too hard so I might do some easier versions of the workouts you posted.
consistency - 3x2 mi is always a brutal workout.
IllinoisRunner - Don't worry about the times for XC, the course was muddy so whatever. Just focus on competing against people who are your teams rivals.
Thinkaboutit - A well deserved week off.
paleale - Crushing the long tempo work this week. Just like with slow-twitch keep things together the next couple weeks so you get to the line healthy
team1 - I am just thinking ouch with the hill climb on Sunday. As far as my goals. My main goal is to run a fast 800 come spring so the 5k and 200 are just stepping stones. I ran an 18:30 5k this summer in 100 F heat, 17:10 last November and 16:27 4 years ago. With the hill sprints I normally do some leg swings or drills and then take the first few ramping up intensity until I am going all out. Recovery is a slow walk back.
