My daughter recently transferred to another school and they do not have a XC team. I was told she could run individually. How does this work? Do I sign her up for High school meets and just show up? Would it effect regionals or states?
Help!

In all honesty, I would just encourage her to play another sport, and run a few races on the side. Running is great and all, but half the fun of it in high school is being on a team/making new friends. She'll have the rest of her life to run by herself if she wants to.
Maybe that's your plan though...
Go in and talk to the Athletic Director or Principal.
Is there a boys team? My daughter ran cross country in middle school last season and was the only girl. But she had a blast anyway because she basically ran with (and beat) all the boys. See if your daughter can train with the boys team and run in the girls race at the meets.

This. You must represent your school and be a member of the state federation to compete in the post season.
You also must have a certified coach or school representative present at all meets. There are so many rules, this is a question for your AD.
