I would have guessed at least 2 others would have beat that time. I think its time to either hang up the spikes or run the 400 unless he wants to lose (other than van niekerk).
It's because the mens 100 meter final was mostly staged.
At the end of the 100 meters Bolt tells De grasse " I told you to watch him, I told you" (you could barely hear this on a cbc camera), What he was referring to was Yohan Blake. Blake let up at the end enough to make sure De grasse got through to Bronze.
It's better for track and field to have the new up and coming athlete on the podium like andre de grasse who is also a Puma athlete like Bolt then to have Yohan Blake who's just another Jamaican.
Another athlete that let up at the end in the last 20 meters was Justin Gatlin. My guess is that Bolt paid him off to do this. Bolt wanted his triple olympic crown more than anything.. otherwise it would have been more of a fight at the end.
I'm sure that what I typed above must be at least 80% correct.
Thoughts?
So read my post above and then watch the 100 meter final again. another thing that adds to this is that Bolt and De grasse are always shaking hands and smiling together like they have a special bond. Check out the pre and post semi final video footage and post finals
And also notice how De grasse is in the lane to the right of Bolt in the semi final and then in the final De grasse is in the lane to the left of Bolt. with Blake just two lanes over. Track and field is more corrupt than you think :-)
Think about it.
What kind of bullshiit is this??

I think the way shorter time between semi and final had a big impact. Only 85 minutes, whereas standard is 120-150 in previous championships. Think everyone looked kinda flat,
Bolt said the same in an interview for Australian TV afterwards.

Blake recently had hamstring surgery, otherwise he would have been in the mix of a medal.
He was he missed out by 2/100ths. Who cares he is a guy who has robbed and continues to rob the few clean athletes of spots and sponsorship dollars.

I have a friend exactly like you. He's a blithering ignorant fool whose dropped out of 2 colleges yet still claims he's the smartest person in the world. In high school he had a 4:52 mile PR and a 58 second 400 PR and claimed he could beat me (high school PRs of 49 second 400, 4:09 miler, and 15:10 CC 5k) at any distance below 400 and above 10k. He couldn't get a job for 3 years so he took up trucking. Think about that for a while...
The answer to your lane assignment s accusation is go look at seed times... So let me guess they fixed all of the seed times so that every runner ran a certain hundredth of a second to get de grasse next to bolt twice? Yup, go drop out of your tier 5 college and learn some critical thinking skills before posting again. Your posts were the worst thing I've ever read on here and I've seen Trump threads.

De Grasse is Bolt's little buddy. I remember when Blake used to be Bolt's little buddy. You may be on to something.

Sure it's possible the fix is in with all the sponsorship $$$ around in 100m, but i think the egos are too big, and the relative rewards not there. Really I think marathons are MUCH more likely, particularly as in-race negotiations are possible.
Mo is probably in a good position to pay off the ETH guys, has lots of money, and increased legacy if he wins.
His sponsorship leverage from winning must be higher than theirs, multiplying the claim.

Bolt got a poor start. If you watch his semi, where he practically jogged over the line in 9.84 (IIRC), it's clear he is in 9.70 form or better.
Watching that semi and how he dominated made me realize there was only going to be one winner in the final.

It is quite a tricky concept, but he went over the finish line first
Letsrun, the only place in the universe where 9.80 is slow.
I'm not sure what is worse - the conspiracy idiots or people like you who use posts to brag about your faded glory. You couldn't resist putting in your HS PRs that NO ONE but you cares about. Sorry you never did anything with your running but bragging on letsrun won't get it back.
Just laughed so hard over this. lol
I have noticed that no American sprinter (male/female) bettered their Hayward trial time. It's some sort of magic track or maybe it is the wind there.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
