I've never taken any, except caffeine in liquid form. So-called "energy drinks" are absolutely wretched. No protein or whey powders for me. No pills.

Since taking the Vitamin D / Magnesium combo, calf strains have stopped occuring... They used to be a regular issue.

I tried Melatonin when I was dealing with insomnia. A total Placebo, doesn't do crap. Maybe if you work graveyard shift but for people with sleeping issues it does nothing.
Clinically diagnosed insomnia or self-diagnosed?
Regardless, if you've had a serious and prolonged lack-of-sleeping or sleeping-inconsistency condition, it will take months to see the benefits of melatonin. That is what my ex was told by her doctor. At the time, the doctor had her taking amitriptaline for the short-term while taking melatonin to replenish for the long-term.
My personal experience with melatonin was that it definitely helped when I found the correct brand and dosage, which for me were Spring Valley and 3mg. I also don't take the varieties with sucralose.
So no, melatonin is NOT crap. It may not work for you (which is actually still debatable), but it's NOT crap.
Food, water, sunshine, oxygen.
Daily:
~ multivitamin - It's a gummy variety, and it's rather scant on minerals and Vitamin E.
~ calcium
~ Vitamin D3
~ north Atlantic kelp
~ NAC (N-acetyl L-cysteine)
~ milk thistle & blessed thistle mixture
~ fish oil - 6x1000mg of fish oil, of which 2160mg is EPA+DHA
Whenever it's less than 70 degrees outside or whenever I'm exposed to sick people or low-hygiene people or situations:
~ garlic oil - quantity varies situationally
~ Vitamin C
~ black elderberry - liquid extract only; only used when I'm getting sick or already sick
~ oregano oil - only used when I'm coming down with a sickness or already sick; It has eradicated a sore throat for me within a half-hour 3 for 3 times.

After reading everyone's supplements, I'm starting to think that I should really be taking some form of iron. Beneficial or not?
I run 70 mpw, if that matters.

Is mayonnaise a supplement?
No Patrick.
Horseradish is not a supplement either.
Nothing beats eating real foods, but I find Hammer Recoverite to be a very effective post hard-workout MR when I'm in a rush. Fast guy I know also swears by Biobolic vitamins, but they just make my pee so smelly.
How do vitamin D and Magnesium help the calves? Wondering because mine act up a lot.
Just Big Macs for me
Multivitamin and omega 3's
