WOW. 8:59.96 for Jebet in the world's greatest female steeple ever!
Had a huge lead, stuttered a bunch of hurdles and world champ Hyvin Kiyeng closed well and it was almost a photo at the finish.
American record 9:10.76 AR for Coburn.
While its dumb to have missed the whole race, it really only came down to the last 120m anyway.
800m coming up, so 3 minutes of commercials for a 1:45 long race.
CBC in Canada is broadcasting for 2 hours. Getting to watch the steeple.

I've never seen anything like this. It has now been 22 minutes, and we've seen a total of 23 seconds of running. UNREAL. During the interview with the USATF CEO you can literally see the mile being run in the background!!! WHY WOULD THEY NOT SHOW IT?! Did Slagowski break 4 again?! What about Tamagno?! They didn't even mention it!
This is an absolute disgrace and honestly it is embarrassing. Last night I was upset, but now I am livid.
As I finish writing this, it is 2:56 PM. The broadcast has been on for 26 minutes. We are on the THIRD commercial break. Absolutely disgusting...
Yes, the coverage is abysmal. I would much rather pay flotrack to get uninterrupted coverage than this crap. Everyone here complains about paying for flotrack or ustaf.tv. You want free coverage? This is what you get.
Aman right on Berian's heels. Wheating far in back. Berian holding the pole. around the final bend.
Boris front-running FTW in the NB kit. 1:44.20
Dominating final 100, pulling away from a fading Aman. 1:44.19.
Textbook execution.
That was Berian saying eff you Phil Knight.
Wheating, lol, is there a bigger head case in T&F?
coburn cannot reclaim something she never OFFICIALLY had.

It is an NBC issue. Watch Eurosport for example, and about half of the NBC breaks are spend covering field events, or ambient images of the stadium.
I saw the start list and thought, "is there any way Wheating doesn't get last?" I guess I was right. He was, indeed, dfl.
