He signed mine without the hypens too, but he did spell it with the e, I have no excuse. By the way, he did put his world record "12.93" right under the signature. I thought that was a nice touch.

Holy cow, what a thrill that must have been. I think this is still the record, or at least the US record. I think Liu Xiang might have taken it down.
How much lower do you think Nehemiah could have taken the 110 world record if not for giving it all up for football? 12.85 or better I'd bet.
Those Penn Realy legs of Nehemiah are the stuff of legend.
Actually, I am sure that either Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, or a slew of other top American sprinters that have run under 19 flat for a 4x200 leg. In fact, I know I saw one at Mt Sac in the last couple of years. Skeets was good, but he was not a consistant powerhouse in the flat races. In fact, look at his signature event. He only broke 13 flat once. Roger Kingdom (3 times), Colin Jackson - albiet UK (5 times), and my man AJ has rocked that 10 TIMES! RN = an okay agent, seems to due paying, decent runner at best.
WR:12.91 Colin jackson, equalled by the chinese guy.
AE:12.92 Allen johnson. I think twice
That is quite all right. I'm sure old number 83 wouldn't mind you butchering his name when you are giving him props.
Have a pleasant evening

Roger Kingdom also shares (and was the first to set) the 12.92 AR.

Maybe your sagacious wisdom has all types of admirers on DyeStat; however, you probably weren't even born when Nehemiah was involved with track. This simple fact may limit your vast knowledge pool, sonny boy.

Yeah. Jesse Owens sucked major ass too, he never even broke 10.00 in the 100m. What a freaking joke.
Renaldo's WJR of 13.00 is perhaps most impressive of all his accolades.
He never ran 13.00 as a junior. He did run a 13.2-low but for some reason this was never fully ratified as a WJR, which was in the 13.4 region until Liu beat it a few years ago.

I think you were replying to my, "I think he still has the record" message, and though you are correct on the world records above, I was referring to the boy's high school record.

No doubt, 25 years later and we're still talking about it. I'd love to get my hands on the tapes, any idea how that might be possible??

Of course he does. No one is touching that anytime soon.
